About the Author
Mark Snowden is a world-class speaker, trainer, strategist, and communicator. He leads Snowden Ministries International that conducts orality workshops, provides Bible studies for small groups that use Bible Storying, and trains laity to plant churches. He has served in several ministry roles with the Southern Baptist Convention, including its International and North American Mission Boards. He has enjoyed traveling among dozens of peoples in 54 countries and 47 U.S. states as a trainer in communications effectiveness. He is a native of Kentucky and has been ordained to the gospel ministry. He studied at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Ky., and holds a Masters of Science in Communications Management from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond. The late Avery T. Willis, Jr., and Mark co-authored Truth That Sticks (NavPress). He has also written Workers in the Harvest: Missionary Training for Church Members and Desperate for Jesus: 21-day Spiritual Preparation Guide with John Yeats. Mark is married to Mary Leigh and they have one daughter and one granddaughter. Great Sci-Fi Novel with Christian Undertones

First off let me start off with a disclaimer that I am a good friend of the author. However, I am usually much more critical of my friends and family, so this is not necessarily a good thing! Canmar Passing is a sci-fi fiction novel with a Christian undertone. I am an avid reader and big fan of doomsday, apocalyptic and dystopian fiction. This is similar in feel to those genres. It is about an planet that is hit by asteroids and is found to have life on it. The people of Earth decide that they must try to save those on that planet. I won't go into any more detail as I don't want to give away any of the storyline. As with most self-published books, it could use some more editing. Also, I didn't feel like I really connected to any of the characters on the level that I like to when reading. Overall, though, it was an interesting read and kept my attention the entire book. It is an excellent first try to fiction writing for my friend, Mark. And I can see him only getting better! He is an expert at orality and he has another great Christian non-fiction book Truth That Sticks: How to Communicate Velcro Truth in a Teflon World (LifeChange) available if you are interested.

I enjoyed this story line

I enjoyed this story line! It has strong missiological overtones and incorporates orality, religious, end of the world, and sci-fi elements as well. I think there's probably a somewhat narrow audience for this sort of book, but I fit into it! There were many formatting errors in the Kindle version that required some careful reading to understand and I found one plot mistake (probably caused by editing), and a couple other typos, but maybe future versions can address these. Still, I really enjoyed the book and read it in less than 48 hours because it captured me!

Great creativity, remarkable story that should be shared with generations to come! May we all value the heart of this story, a priority of truth being told and the value being a responsible library of the stories of truth, well shared in a reproducible way.
