Not what I was expecting but a great rewarding read.

This was a really interesting book. It had elements of Science Fiction and Fantasy. It was told from the perspective of a ferryman. He has the ability to walk through fire from one place to another. Sounds like a fantasy story right? But this story takes place in a world with space travel. The main character is a ferryman who walks through fire onto a generation spaceship getting close to reaching its destination. There he learns from another character there is more to life than what he's known so far.
This is a very thoughtful story and I really enjoyed many small moments in it. Watching the character grow from a selfish jerk into something more was rewarding. Give this one a try.

A fun read.

A character based story with some bang bang for your buck.
Ferrymen, those rare people who can cross space from flame to flame. This time towing a corporate negotiator to an old and worn generation ship nearing it's destination. Things soon spin out of control for both our cynical ferryman personally as he examines his life and the then the crew of the ship when times get interesting aboard the old bucket. Space opera ensues. A fun read.
