The year is 2233AD. Joshua has lived most of his fifteen years on a station orbiting the planet Epsilon Eridani d. A trans-dimensional portal then takes them to Sissakh, another world where they find two astronauts who went missing half a century ago. Why have they been brought to this alien planet, and whom should they side with in a war of ideologies which may decide not only the future of Sissakh, but also that of the entire human race?

About the Author
Robert Paul Hopwood graduated from University College London in 1993 with a first-class combined honors degree in Ancient History and Egyptology. He currently works as a translator in Taiwan, where he lives with his wife and two cats. His publications include The Egyptian - Chinese Dictionary (1996), and The Elders of Otarka (2015), which is the prequel to The Crystal Planet (2015).

Fun read

The Elders of Otarka is a fun read. I enjoyed it very much. It's a good story told well. I look forward to more adventures with Joshua, Suli and Sid.
